  • Timbren Suspension Enhancement 2020 Ford F-250 Severe Service Kit
  • That is a fantastic question. The Timbren # TFR250SDJ is their standard use suspension enhancement system. This is best suited for general everyday use. The Timbren # TFRTT350J is their severe service kit. Per Timbren- We recommend Severe Service kits be used with a slide-in camper or salt spreader. In fact, any application that requires maximum stability (reducing roll and sway) calls for a Severe Service upgrade. While both will fit your 2020 Ford F-250 4x4 the one you choose will...

  • Difference Between HydraStar Disc Brake Kit HSE7K-TR1 & HSE7K-TR1SO for 7K Triple-Axles
  • The difference between the two HydraStar Disc Brake Kits with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers is that one comes with a complete hub-and-rotor assembly while the other is just the slip-on rotors without the hubs. What that means is that if you need new hubs with the brake kit you will want the HydraStar Disc Brake Kit with Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers - 13" Hub/Rotor # HSE7K-TR1. If your hubs are in fine shape and you just want the kit with the slip-on rotors you will want the HydraStar...

  • What is the Difference Between the BWRVK3370 and the BWRVB3370
  • The B&W Companion Hitch # BWRVK3370 is a complete sliding hitch that is designed to fit in the Ford OEM prep package. The Replacement Slider Base for B&W OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Ford Towing Prep Package - 20K # BWRVB3370 is just the base of the hitch without the head and is used if you already have a Companion hitch and have switched from maybe a Chevy truck with the prep package to a Ford with the OEM prep package; it's just designed so that you don't have to buy a completely new...

  • What is the Difference Between the Reese Towpower 7028700 and the Curt Reducer C45405
  • The biggest difference between the Reese Towpower 7028700 and the Curt Reducer Sleeve # C45405 is that the Curt can be used with a weight distribution system while the Towpower comes with a sticker that says it isn't rated for weight distribution. Essentially, they do the same thing (reduce a 2-1/2" receiver opening to a 2") but when we have spoken with Horizon Global in the past they weren't able to confirm why the Towpower was not rated for weight distribution. If you are planning on...

  • The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2550 is a fit for 1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 models through 2010 models. For your 2015 Ford F-250 the similar Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2597 is the confirmed fit. I've attached photos of the parts list for each to show that although they look similar and operate in a similar way, the air springs, and all the brackets are different parts customized to fit each...

  • Curt or Draw-Tite Front Hitch For 2024 Ford F-250
  • To me there's an absolute clear winner between the two front hitches for your 2024 Ford F-250 Super duty, and that's the Draw-Tite, which is the following part number: - Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65076 The Draw-Tite just has much better clearances on your F-250 than the Curt # C31078. Ground clearance is a big one, with the Curt measuring 7-1/2" from the bottom of the hitch to the ground and the Draw-Tite measuring 12". Then for front bumper clearance, from the hitch...

  • Differences Between Curt A20 and Q20 Fifth Wheel Hitches
  • The A20, like # C16140 essentially an updated version of the # C16130 Q20. The A-series hitches feature an interlocking jaw that holds the king pin very tightly all the way around its circumference for a very smooth ride without all the clanging and banging that would be experienced with lower-quality hitches. The head unit of the A-series fully articulates using torsion inserts that allows the head to articulate but also suppress shock. The head is easily removed by taking out one pin,...

  • Difference Between Curt C60720 Gooseneck Hitch and C60720-5W
  • Good morning. Both the # C60720 and the # C60720-5W are the same exact item. We give them different part numbers so that the item can be searched as both a gooseneck hitch and as a mount for the Demco Recon 5th wheel hitch, Both kits include the rails, gooseneck hitch head, safety chain loops, and hitch ball. You can order the less expensive of the two without worry that you've compromised anythinng.

  • Differences Between the Curt Q24 and Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch
  • The Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16265 is the same as the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16245 for the exception of weight capacity. All of the features and functions of both hitches will be the same but the Q25 hitch has a gross towing weight limit of 25,000 lbs and a vertical load limit of 6,250 lbs whereas the Q24 hitch has a gross towing weight limit of 24,000 lbs and a vertical load limit of 6,000 lbs. • Recommended Suspension Enhancement for a 2019 Ford F-250 Towing a 5th Wheel
  • Between the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS3611-SLHD and Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TFRTT350J, I prefer the Timbren. Though both of these are set it and forget it products, the # TFRTT350J does provide more support when needed. The draw back to both of these systems is that they are not adjustable and will affect the ride pretty severely when not towing. With that being said, I prefer the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F95FV. This is...

  • Comparing Replacement Slider Base for Reese 20K 5th Wheel Hitch Head to Andersen Ultimate Hitch
  • The leaf spring inside of the Reese Round Tube Slider part # RP50024 you asked about is not a replacement part offered by the manufacturer. If the leaf spring is damaged then the only option is to replace the entire slider assembly. There is another slider base option that is more cost efficient and will work with the hitch head you currently have. It is the Reese Fifth Wheel Slider part # RP30048 which is square tube versus round tube. The biggest difference there is the rollers travel...

  • Comparing the Timbrens and SumoSprings for a 2016 Ford F-250
  • The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TFR250SDG and the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-114-54 are both great options for your 2016 Ford F-250. The Timbrens will provide more support therefore there will be less squat but the downside of this is that they are rather hard which can result in an uncomfortable ride. The SumoSprings on the other hand will provide slightly less support but they are also much softer which means you will still retain most of your...

  • 5,000 lb. or 7,500 lb. Firestone Air Bags for a 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty w/ 4 Wheel Drive
  • Since you are pulling a trailer that weighs around 8,500 lbs. you would just want to stick with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F35FV (5,000 lb.). You really only need to spend more for the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F95FV (7,500 lbs.) if you are towing a larger 5th wheel, where the pin weight would be more than 5,000 lbs. Otherwise, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F35FV (5,000 lb.) will work out great. I also recommend adding...

  • How to Choose a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty Model with the Intention of Towing a Fifth Wheel Trailer
  • If you intend to buy a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6-3/4 foot bed, then you will need a sliding hitch like the B and W Companion, part # BWRVK3370. The reason for this is because a short bed like the one you are looking to buy will not provide enough clearance for turning when hooked up to your fifth wheel. You would run a very high risk of the trailer hitting the cab of your truck, which would result in catastrophic damage. If you were set on getting the # BWRVK3300 (the Companion...

  • Questions About Timbren Jounce-Style Springs for 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty
  • It is true that the 8,600 lbs capacity Timbren Jounce-Style Springs # TFR250SDJ measures 6-7/8" altogether while the 8,000 lbs capacity Timbren # TFRTT350J for heavy duty (Severe Service Vehicle) applications measure 7" altogether. I went out to the warehouse and double-checked these measurements just now. The 1" space for the # TFRTT350J kit is optional and does not have to be installed. I know it seems a little weird about the pricing, but it is important to remember that these are...

  • How Do Retrax Retractable Tonneau Covers Stack Up Against Others for a 2017 Ford F-250 Short Bed
  • Retrax, manufacturer of RetraxONE MX Hard Tonneau Cover # RT60383 for your 2017 Ford F-250 short bed, is a leader in the Tonneau cover industry. They are actually the parent company of many other well-known Tonneau cover manufacturers. The Retrax covers are, in a word, impressive. When we first started carrying this line the Retrax folks came here to train us on their products. They are well-made here in the US and carry a limited lifetime warranty which is a reflection of how well they...

  • Difference Between Timbren Suspension Enhancement for Ford F-250 and F-350
  • The spacer like the # A25723-90AH00 is an optional part that can be used if you need it to achieve a 1/2" to 1-1/2" gap between the spring and point of contact. The # TFR250SDJ and # TFR350SDJ actually have a different overall height. The # TFR250SDJ is 6-7/8" tall while the # TFR350SDJ is 7-1/2" tall. Outside of that there is no real difference and they have the same capacity. Keep in mind, the # TFR250SDJ is designed to fit the F-250 and the # TFR350SDJ is for the F-350.

  • Comparing Draw Tite and Curt Front Hitch for 2020 Ford F-250
  • We have two really great front hitches that fit your 2020 Ford F-250 with the Draw Tite part # 65076 and the Curt # C31078. The big differences are that the Draw Tite will stick out past the air dam a bit more than the Curt. Also the Curt is made in the USA. I attached a picture that shows where the Curt installs relative to the air dam. I would go with the Curt for the reasons mentioned unless the accessory you plan to install in the front hitch has a shorter shank.

  • Comparing the Demco Hijacker Autoslide DM8550038 and DM8550037 for a Ford Super Duty
  • The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch part # DM8550038 and the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch part # DM8550037 are the same hitch. The only difference is the side plates they come with, the former has side plates for the puck system on a Ford Super Duty whereas the latter has side plates to mount with Demco's underbed pucks which are different from the puck system on a Ford Super Duty. If you don't have the Ford puck system then you will need the Underbed Rail and Installation...
